StudentUK is a free online student community where prospective students, current students, graduates and international students can connect, ask questions, share experiences and discuss university life across the UK. These Community Rules help create a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for everyone. While we work hard to maintain a positive community, StudentUK does not accept responsibility for the actions, opinions or content shared by individual members. Users are responsible for their own messages, interactions and behaviour while using the StudentUK platform.

🤝 Community Guidelines

By using StudentUK, you agree to follow these Community Rules and help create a respectful, friendly and welcoming environment for everyone.


🤝 Be Respectful

Treat everyone with courtesy and respect. Healthy discussions and different opinions are encouraged, but bullying, harassment, personal attacks, threats and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.


🎂 Minimum Age Requirement

StudentUK is intended for prospective students, current students, graduates and international students. You must be at least 14 years old to create an account or use the StudentUK platform.

If you’re under 18, avoid sharing personal information with other users and always use the internet responsibly. If someone makes you feel uncomfortable or behaves inappropriately, report it to our moderation team immediately.


🎓 Keep Discussions Relevant

StudentUK is designed for conversations about university life, including UK universities, UCAS applications, accommodation, student finance, banking, part-time jobs, student wellbeing, international students and everyday student experiences. Friendly off-topic conversations are welcome, provided they don’t disrupt discussions or negatively affect other members.


🚫 No Spam or Advertising

Do not post spam, repeated messages, referral links, promotional content or advertisements without permission. Unauthorised commercial promotion, self-promotion and unsolicited marketing may be removed immediately.


🔒 Protect Your Privacy

Never share sensitive personal information such as your home address, phone number, passwords, banking details or other private information. Always use caution when communicating with people online.


⚖️ No Illegal or Harmful Content

Do not post, promote or encourage illegal activities, scams, fraud, hacking, malware, violence or any content that could place other members or the StudentUK community at risk.


🌍 Respect Everyone

StudentUK welcomes people from all backgrounds. Content that is racist, sexist, discriminatory, hateful or targets individuals because of their race, religion, nationality, disability, gender, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated.


🛡️ Respect Moderators

Our moderation team works to apply the Community Rules fairly and consistently. Please follow moderator instructions and respect their decisions. If you disagree with a moderation decision, contact us politely rather than arguing publicly. Serious or repeated breaches of the Community Rules may result in warnings, temporary suspensions or permanent bans.


🚫 No Impersonation

Do not impersonate another person, create fake accounts to mislead members or pretend to represent StudentUK, a university or any other organisation without permission.


🔗 Share Safe Links

Only share trusted, relevant and appropriate websites. Do not post malicious, misleading or unsafe links that could compromise another member’s privacy, security or online safety.


🚩 Report Problems

If you see spam, harassment, fake accounts or behaviour that breaks these Community Rules, report it to our moderation team. Prompt reporting helps us investigate issues and maintain a safe and welcoming community.


📸 Respect Copyright

Only share content that you own or have permission to use. Do not upload or distribute copyrighted material that infringes the rights of others.


💙 Help Build a Positive Community

StudentUK exists to help students learn, connect and support one another. Be welcoming to new members, contribute positively to discussions and help create a community where everyone feels comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences and building lasting connections.
